ABOUT
Rob Nagelhout is a record producer, audio engineer, and musician based in Los Angeles, California. in middle school, Rob became enamored with the bass guitar, leading him to join local bands, jazz ensembles, and orchestras. He eventually attended University of Southern California where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Popular Music Performance. It was at USC where he also developed a passion for record production and audio engineering. After interning at Universal Music Publishing Group where he assisted on recording sessions for artists like Macy Gray, Blues Traveller, and War, he began producing records for local independent artists and bands. Over the past 8+ years Rob has produced and/or engineered hundreds of songs, podcasts, live videos, etc. including Chloe Fredericks (NBC’s American Song Contest Finalist), Lils (The Voice), Megg, Rozzi, Glow & The Dark, Halloway, Hunter Porter, Kit Major, and more. Through his projects he has also had the opportunity to work with esteemed engineers and producers such as Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele), Brian Lee (Post Malone, Black Pink) and Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Brand New). He also continues to play bass, music directing for Chloe Fredericks and Megg, Playing with his band Medford (Brian Lee, JP Clark, Bryan Jarrett), and touring nationally with Pacific Dub opening for The Expendables in 2018.
Rob’s passion is bringing the artistic vision of the artists he works with to life through records; whether that be through production, co-writing, engineering, mixing, or mastering.
